The 2020 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale - Sunsets and Stilettos

Nordstrom Sale Top Picks

I don't typically shop the Nordstrom Sale, but I know many of you do! I know everyone has different budgets and closet pieces in mind, so I went ahead and gathered all the pieces from the sale that I love! Since we are all about affordability here, nothing featured below is over $100. When I shop a sale, I always try to think of different outfits I can make with the potentially new pieces. I included some inspo for you to think of when shopping the Nordstom sale! The sale opens to regular shopped August 19th, but you are able to preview to get an idea of what's going to be available.

Work Wear

These picks are great for a business casual environment. I love the top row of work wear because generally, they are very classic and will stay in your closet as long as they hold up. The bottom row is more fun when it comes to office outfits. The silk skirt would look amazing with the yellow top during the spring or switch it out for the black version for a more year round look. Both options paired with the mules would be so cute! Pair something like the zebra dress with a cardigan and black heels to tone it down for the office.

All of these picks are classic colors and patterns with simple silhouettes. If your office leans toward business professional, these pieces have the modest necklines and lengths you're looking for! Having a classic blazer in your office wardrobe is a must-have and will never go out of style! For nicer or special office events, the blazer with the red jumpsuit and some closed toe heels would be so cute!

Everyday

Fall is coming!! I was so excited to see some solid pieces in Nordstrom's $25-$50 section. These pieces, although basic, can be paired so many different ways. I envision the pink cropped sweater with the paper bag shorts switched out between the shoe and jacket options depending on your plans. The brown mules with the denim jacket says a cute date night while the platform converse and shearling jacket gives off dinner with your besties vibes. Having a good throw on coat is so important for the fall, and the fact that these are under $50 just means they are an absolute STEAL!

Leopard print has been around forever, and it's not going anywhere any time soon! The skirt and belt can easily act like a neutral, but add so much to an otherwise plain outfit. While the dress gives off summery vibes, I think it would be so cute with one of the bootie options below and a wide brimmed felt hat - perfect for the season transition!

I wasn't originally planning on having a faux leather section, but as I looked at the sale, I noticed some really awesome pieces that I couldn't leave out! Leather looks are another classic, and you can't go wrong having a few pieces in your wardrobe. An outfit as simple as a white tee and jeans can instantly be elevated but a leather jacket, blazer, or button down shirt.

Sandals and heels are still okay to wear while transitioning to cooler weather. I love pairing socks with chunky heels in the fall for a more layered and warm look - seen here. Going for warmer, muted, tones for sandals is a great way to still feel like fall but keep cool for summer weather. I love a little heel for the office because it helps me feel more confident when meeting new people.

Okay everyone knows they need some good booties for the fall & winter! Nordstrom has some amazing deals on name brand booties - here are just a few that I found! I am loving the teal booties because they can add a fun pop of color to plainer outfits or be a great color to pair with yellows and mauves. The olive green boots are so cool to me. They aren't very typical and would be so cute with a flowy cream dress, cardigan, and hat!

Thanks for reading

& I hope you get all the pieces you want!
